                        8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. - Utah Board of Regents will discuss ways to increase capacity                           and improve teacher quality.

3.          9:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. - Governor Jon Huntsman

4.          Part II - Teacher Training/Teacher Initiatives/Teacher Shortage

                          10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. - Utah State Office of Education will discuss enhancing capacity                           and numbers of new teachers by making teaching a more attractive profession.

5.          11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - K-16 Alliance report will cover other recommendations from the report              such as scholarship opportunities, alternative class schedules, and other related topics.

6.          12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Lunch - A Boxed Lunch is provided jointly by the Legislature, State              Board of Education, and the State Board of Regents.

7.          12:30 p.m. - 1.30 p.m. - (Continued over Lunch) Remedial Education and how to improve              the connection between the K-12 education system and higher education. The discussion              will also cover characteristics of students receiving remedial educations.

8.          1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. - Presentation of Budget Priorities for the upcoming Legislative Session.

9.          2:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Break

10.        3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Discussion on Governance and Constitutional Powers as they relate              to the election and appointments to the State Board of Education and the Board of Regents.
