                            Call to order

                            Approval of the minutes of the July 18, 2007 meeting



 9:10       2.   Remedy for Alleged Sexual Harassment

                       The Committee will hear a presentation on whether to amend the Utah Anti-Discrimination Act to clarify

whether alleged victims of sexual harassment have the right to pursue claims which would be actionable under Utah common law.

 9:25       3.   Employer Pay Practices

                    The Committee will continue its discussion from the July meeting regarding certain pay practices including                        the misclassification of employees as independent contractors and the effects on competition, tax revenue,             government services, and employee benefits.

10:25     4.   Health Care Working Group Update

                       The Legislature appropriated $350,000 during the 2007 General Session to the GOED (Governor's Office of Economic Development) to develop a plan to increase the availability of health insurance to small         business employees. The Committee will receive a report from GOED and other groups that have been working on proposals to expand health care coverage.
