                  3.     Task Force Objectives

The Task Force will review it's duties and the other tasks outlined in H.B. 133, Health System Reform, and consider how to organize its work.

                    4.     Report from the Governor's Office of Economic Development

H.B. 133 charges the Governor's Office of Economic Development with coordinating the efforts of several state agencies to "assist the Legislature with developing the state's strategic plan for health system reform." The Task Force will receive reports from GOED and each state agency on accomplishments to date and activities expected over the next several months.

                  5.     Procurement Code Preference

In accordance with H.B. 133, the Task Force will consider draft legislation that would grant a preference under the state procurement code to any bidder who provides health insurance benefits, including a defined contribution, to the bidder's employees.

                  6.     Request for Proposals

H.B. 133 includes an appropriation to the Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel "to fund professional and actuarial services for the Health System Reform Task Force." The Task Force will review a draft request for proposals.
