8:50 3. Investment of the State School Fund
The State School Fund, created by Utah’s Enabling Act and the Utah Constitution, consists of revenue from the sale and use of school trust lands and certain other revenue from public lands. The principal of the State School Fund is required to be safely invested and held in perpetuity by the state. The interest and dividends are to be expended for the support of the public education system. The School Trust Investment Task Force created by the State Board of Education has recommended changes in the management of the State School Fund.

9:35 4. Report: Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind
The committee will hear a report from the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind, including information on student enrollment, participation in assessments, and achievement.
