Utah Code Section 20A-5-410 requires the lieutenant
governor to report to the committee on the lieutenant governor's study of how
to administer an election in which each registered voter receives a ballot by
mail.

Election Day Voter Registration Pilot Project
Utah Code Section 20A-4-108 requires the lieutenant governor
and each county participating in the election day voter registration pilot project
this year to report to the committee on the implementation of the pilot
project.

Legislation "Campaign Finance Amendments"
The committee will consider draft legislation
"Campaign Finance Amendments," which amends Title 20A, Chapter 11,
Campaign and Finance Reporting Requirements, by establishing and enforcing
contribution limits.

and Referendum Petitions
The Office of the Lieutenant Governor presented to the
committee in July on challenges caused by current statute regarding initiative
and referendum petitions. The committee will discuss potential alternative
policies that could resolve those challenges.

Legislation "Campaign Contributions Amendments"
The committee will consider draft legislation "Campaign
Contributions Amendments," which amends campaign finance provisions
related to anonymous contributions, in the form of cash or a negotiable
instrument, and aggregate reporting of those contributions.

from the State Records Ombudsman
Utah Code
Section 63A-12-111 requires the state records ombudsman in the Division of
Archives and Records Service to report to the committee on work the ombudsman
has performed during the previous year.
