2. Medicaid Expansion

The task force will be updated on Governor Gary R. Herbert’s negotiations of his Healthy Utah proposal with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and discuss other options for expanding health care coverage. The task force will consider how the “medically frail” would be identified under an expansion of Medicaid eligibility and what impact they might have on the implementation of an expansion.

The task force will receive a report on collaboration between third-party payers and health care providers.
