The commission will hear a presentation about Camp Williams, how it provides a training facility for both state and federal military units and the encroachment challenges facing the base.

9:55   3. College Veteran Centers: Feasibility Study Report, S.B. 68, Veterans Centers

The commission will hear a report from the Board of Regents on a statutorily required feasibility study about setting up Veteran Centers or counselors on college campuses to assist veterans in obtaining G.I. Bill education benefits and education goals.

10:20 4. Suicide Prevention and Treatment Progams: State Agency Reports

The commission will hear presentations from the Utah Department of Health and the Utah Department of Human Services about suicide prevention and treatment programs and how they integrate with federal and local government programs.

The commission will discuss draft legislation which is designed to prevent veterans and their dependents from being assessed a fee for the preparation and application process for veteran benefits.
