1:10 p.m. 2. Smart School Technology Program Evaluation
At its September meeting, the task force received a report
on the Smart School Technology Program, which was created by 2012 General
Session S.B. 248, "Smart School Technology Act," to develop and
implement whole-school technology deployment in schools. The company that
received the contract for the technology deployment and the agency responsible
for the request for proposals are requested to respond to questions raised at
the September meeting.

Education Members
U.S. District Judge Clark Waddoups ruled in September that
the state’s candidate selection process for Utah State Board of Education members
is unconstitutional. The task force will receive a legal briefing on the ruling.

Course
At its September meeting, the task force received a
briefing on the Advanced Placement United States history course that was
recently redesigned by the College Board. The task force will hear a parent’s
