JUDICIARY INTERIM COMMITTEE

1. Committee Business

· Call to order

· Approval of the minutes of the November 19, 2014, meeting

2. Expungement Update

The committee will receive an update on H.B. 40, “Expungement Amendments,” which was introduced during the 2015 General Session.

3. 2015 Judiciary Legislation

The committee will review the outcomes of legislation introduced during the 2015 General Session of the Legislature.

4. 2015 Interim Studies

The committee will begin identifying issues and objectives for the following studies assigned to the 2015 Judiciary Interim Committee:

· Family law: to include study of the statute and issues relating to alimony (length, cohabitation, and rehabilitative alimony provisions); and

· Civil Rights: to study the statute and current use of surveillance, subpoenas, and police use of force

5. Utah Open and Public Meetings Act Training

Pursuant to Utah Code Section 52-4-104, the committee will be briefed on the Open and Public Meetings Act.
