of the minutes of the December 18, 2014, meeting
8:35 2. Update on Coverage Gap Negotiations
In 2015 H.C.R. 12,
"Concurrent Resolution on Healthcare," the Legislature and the governor
expressed their commitment to continue working with each other and the federal
government to find a way to address the lack of adequate access to health care
by those falling within the "coverage gap" created by the federal
Affordable Care Act. The task force will receive reports on those efforts.
9:00 3. Update on Other State and Federal
Developments
The task force will
be briefed on recent developments related to state and federal healthcare
reform.
9:10 4. Telehealth
With the assistance
of the National Conference of State Legislatures and others, the task force
will take an in-depth look at telehealth as a means for furthering meaningful
improvements in the cost, quality, and availability of health care.
Presentations and discussion will address the following topics:
