2.   Selection of State School Board Members

The committee will discuss proposals to change the composition of the state school board and the method by which state school board members are selected, including whether to take a committee position on the issue.

3.   Draft Legislation "Financial Disclosure Database"

The committee will consider draft legislation "Financial Disclosure Database" which changes the way the Office of the Lieutenant Governor tracks and reports financial disclosures.

4.   Draft Legislation "Referendum Amendments"

The committee will consider draft legislation "Referendum Amendments" which changes the timeline by which individuals may apply for and submit a referendum petition.

5.   Runoff Elections

The committee will discuss the implications for using runoff elections to address plurality, including statutory and administrative changes that would be necessary for runoff elections to operate successfully in the state.

6.   Costs of Policy Solutions to Plurality

      The committee will discuss the costs of different policy solutions to address plurality.

7.   Legislative Audits

In June 2015, the Office of the Legislative Auditor General published a performance audit and a budget review of the Office of the Attorney General.

 

a)    A Performance Audit of the Office of the Utah Attorney General

The Legislative Audit Subcommittee assigned the Government Operations Interim Committee as the lead committee for this audit.

b)    An In-Depth Budget Review of the Office of the Attorney General
