The task force will
be briefed on the impact of the federal governments decision to pay health
insurance carriers only 12.6% of their first-year claims under the federal
Affordable Care Acts Risk Corridor Payments program. The task force will be
briefed on the impacts to Utah insurers and the markets they serve, including
the recent Utah Insurance Department decision to place Arches Health Plan in
receivership and terminate its plans by the end of the year.
