         Other committee business – Open and Public Meetings training

 

 

8:40         2.      2016 Interim Priority Study Items

                                    The committee will discuss the four study items that were prioritized by the Legislative Management Committee and any additional study items that the committee would like to address this year.

 

 

9:00         3.      New Felonies and Enhancements on Existing Punishments

The Sentencing Commission has prepared a report covering new felonies and enhancements on existing felonies.

9:30         4.      Board of Pardons and Parole – Audit and Agency Update

The committee will receive an update from the Board of Pardons and Parole regarding the recent audit findings and how the Board is responding.

 

 

10:30      5.      Long-Term Planning – Discussion

                          Interim Rule 2-2-103 requires each interim committee to devote part of the May interim meeting to long-term planning. The committee will hear from representatives of the Department of Corrections and the Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice on long-term planning issues that their respective agencies are looking to address.
