The committee will discuss the four study items that were
prioritized by the Legislative Management Committee and any additional study
items that the committee would like to address this year.
9:00 3. New Felonies and Enhancements on Existing
Punishments
The
Sentencing Commission has prepared a report covering new felonies and
enhancements on existing felonies.

9:30 4. Board of Pardons
and Parole – Audit and Agency Update
The committee will receive an update from the Board of
Pardons and Parole regarding the recent audit findings and how the Board is
responding.
10:30 5. Long-Term Planning – Discussion
Interim Rule 2-2-103
requires each interim committee to devote part of the May interim meeting to
long-term planning. The committee will hear from representatives of the
Department of Corrections and the Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice on
long-term planning issues that their respective agencies are looking to
address.
