1. S.B. 32 Child Welfare Auditing Amendments (Davis, G.)

Sen. Gene Davis explained the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Christensen moved to pass S.B. 32 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-4.

Sen. Christensen assumed the chair.

2. S.B. 75 Child Welfare Amendments (Fillmore, L.)

Sen. Lincoln Fillmore explained the bill.

MOTION:     Chair Fillmore moved to amend S.B. 75 with Amendment #1.

MOTION:     Sen. Van Tassell moved to pass S.B. 75 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 7-0-1.

3. S.B. 91 Native American Child Welfare Amendments (Van Tassell, K.)

Sen Van Tassell explained the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Van Tassell moved to amend S.B. 91 with Amendment #1.

MOTION:     Sen. Van Tassell moved to pass S.B. 91 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 7-0-1.

4. S.B. 95 Air Ambulance Amendments (Harper, W.)

Sen. Wayne A. Harper explained the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Christensen moved to replace S.B. 95 with 1st Substitute S.B. 95. The motion passed with a vote of 6-0-2.

Ms. Sheila Walsh McDonald, Liaison, Department of Health, spoke in favor of the bill.

Ms. Kathleen Kaufman, citizen, spoke in favor of the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Escamilla moved to pass First Substitute S.B. 95 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 6-0-2.

Mr. Guy Dansie, Program Director, Emergency Medical Services, Department of Health, spoke to the bill.

5. S.B. 88 Medicaid Housing Coordinator (Iwamoto, J.)

Sen. Iwamoto presented the bill with the assistance of Kevin Bagley, Division of Medicaid and Health Financing, Utah Department of Health.

Mr. Danny Harris, Director of Advocacy, AARP, spoke in favor of the bill.

Mr. Andy Curry, Executive Director, Roads to Independence, spoke in favor of the bill.

Ms. Kris Fawson, Advocate, Legislative Coalition for People with Disabilities, spoke in favor of the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Christensen moved to pass S.B. 88 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 5-0-3.

6. H.B. 31 Utah Health Care Workforce Financial Assistance Program Reauthorization (Redd, E.)

Rep. Edward H. Redd explained the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Escamilla moved to pass H.B.31 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 5-0-3.

MOTION:     Sen. Christensen moved to adjourn at 3:04 p.m. The motion passed with a vote of 5-0-3.

Acting Chair Shiozawa adjourned the meeting 3:04 p.m.
