Chair Peterson called the meeting to order at 2:07 p.m.
MOTION: Rep. Coleman moved to approve the minutes of the February 6 and February 9, 2017 meetings. The motion passed unanimously.
1. H.B. 292 Charter School Admission Amendments (Fawson, J.)
Rep. Justin L. Fawson explained the bill.
Mr. Royce Van Tassell, Executive Director, Utah Association of Public Charter Schools spoke in favor of the bill.
Ms. Janey Stoddard, School Administrator, Venture Academy spoke in favor of the bill.
Ms. Kristin Elinkowski, Chair, State Charter School Board, spoke in favor of the bill.
MOTION: Rep. McCay moved to pass H.B. 292 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 10-0-4.
