STANDING COMMITTEE

Chair Buxton called the meeting to order at 4:14 p.m.

MOTION:     Sen. Harper moved to approve the minutes of February 17, 2017. The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-3.

1. H.B. 152 Transportation Funding Revisions (Sandall, S.)

Rep. Sandall explained the bill assisted by Lincoln Shurtz, Utah Association of Counties.

Brandon Smith, Utah League of Cities and Towns spoke in favor of the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Mayne moved to pass H.B. 152 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 5-0-2.

2. H.B. 257 Autonomous Vehicles Task Force (Spendlove, R.)

MOTION:     Chair Buxton moved to saunter. The motion passed with a vote of 5-0-2.

Chair Buxton called the meeting to order.

Rep. Spendlove explained the bill.

Kris Fawson, Utah Coalition for People with Disabilities spoke in favor of the bill.

MOTION:     Sen. Dabakis moved to pass H.B. 257 out favorably. The motion passed with a vote of 5-0-2.

MOTION:     Sen. Harper moved to adjourn. The motion passed with a vote of 4-0-3.

Chair Buxton adjourned the meeting at 4:36 p.m.
