RESERVING A LEGISLATIVE ROOM AND OBTAINING CERTAIN SERVICES
The Legislative Management Committee policy allows an organization or person to reserve legislative rooms in the House Building and State Capitol Building (with exceptions noted in (3) of the policy). To reserve a legislative committee room, fill out a request form and fax to Nancy McPherson in the Office at Legislative Research and General Counsel at 801-538-1712.
Obtaining
Audio Recordings
Public:
You may capture audio in a legislative room with your own recording equipment.
Executive and Judicial Branch Offices: You may obtain recordings by
submitting a request form to Nancy
McPherson and paying the fee (see
Technical Assistance, (3)(b)) established by the Legislative Management
Committee. You are responsible for starting and stopping the recording.
Communicative
Aids and Interpretive Services
To
receive auxillary communicative aids for official legislative meetings, contact
Nancy McPherson in the Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel at
801-538-1032, TTY at 801- 326-1634, or e-mail Nancy
McPherson. Please
request this service at least three working days in advance. During a legislative
session, please request this service as soon as possible. To receive
interpretive services for an official legislative meeting, submit a completed
Request Form for Interpretive
Services to Nancy
McPherson.
Using Audio
Visual Equipment
Please read these instructions
if you plan to use the audio visual equipment installed in the committee room
reserved for you. You are responsible for starting and stopping the recording.
These instructions apply to all committee rooms in the State Capitol Building.
