Co-Chairman Chad Bennion called the meeting to order at 9:15 a.m.



Gregory Fitch, Utah College of Applied Technology, distributed a packet of literature about UCAT and presented his concerns about the analyst's FY 2002 Supplemental Budget Recommendations. Fiscal Analyst, Debbie Headden, responded and answered concerns.

Robert Gross and John Nixon, Department of Workforce Services, discussed their concerns about the analyst's recommendations. He explained the distributed chart and PACMIS Gap Analysis & Planning Project.



Ted Boyer and Roger Ball, Department of Commerce, addressed their concerns regarding the analyst's recommendations and presented a handout of their supplemental requests.



Richard Pearson and Dennis Kellen, Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, passed out a DABC Historical Fact Sheet and explained their concerns on the analyst's recommendations.



Neal Gooch, Department of Insurance, addressed the concerns of their department in reference to the analyst's recommendations and responded to questions of the committee.



Lee Ellertson and Gordon Linnett, Labor Commission, presented their concerns about the analyst's recommendations, specifically the damage of the one-day furlough to their department. They agreed to cut the furlough amount from another area.



Steve Mecham and Julie Orchard, Public Service Commission, discussed their concerns regarding the analyst's recommendations and responded to committee inquiries.



Rod Marrelli and Julie Alsop, Utah State Tax Commission, explained their concerns about the cuts proposed by the analyst and discussed the situation with the committee members.



MOTION: Rep. Anderson made a motion to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.



Co-Chairman Bennion adjourned the meeting at 11:30 a.m.
