Rep. Michael Kohler presented the bill with the assistance of Casey Hill, Lobbyist, Utah Veterinary Medical Association. They responded to questions from the committee.
MOTION:Sen. Sandall moved to amend H.B. 187 with Amendment #2.The motion passed with a vote of 6-1-1.

14         be licensed under the Veterinary Practice Act.

(a) obtained a masters degree or higher in animal reproductive physiology; and
(b) completed at least 8 hours of continuing education on animal reproductive physiology within the previous 2-year period.
