This bill may fiscally impact the State in that, if passed, the State would avoid legal and attorney fees as well as settlement costs and damages that may result from possible litigation associated with potential Year 2000-related computer system failure. As the extent of failure, consequential damage, and resulting litigation is unknown, the fiscal impact cannot be quantified at this time.
