This bill requires a ground water discharge permit for all radioactive material waste facilities. The bill also requires the board to establish rules to determine the net value of source materials extracted from the radioactive materials. It is estimated that 1/3 of an FTE will be required at a cost of $25,000. Dedicated Credits will be collected through ground water fees established by the Legislature to pay for the personnel costs. The one-time rule making expense is estimated to be $10,100 from the General Fund in FY 2000.
