It is estimated that it could cost over $1,000,000 to enact all provisions of this bill. However, the bill does not mandate these expenditures. Some funds appropriated in 1998 in SB 37 are still available for some provisions in the bill. Future costs of maintaining this property could cost approximately $100,000 annually. There is a possibility that development of these wet lands could be cheaper than purchasing land and developing wet lands in other locations.
