Enactment of this resolution can be handled within existing budgets. However, it is understood that Agreement States Status for Uranimum mills can only be obtained if all mills are involved. Therefore, there is a likelyhood that Utah could become liable for cleaning up the Atlas site and any other site that does not have a financially responsible owner. Estimated costs for cleanups are in excess of $50 million dollars. If Utah does become responsible it is estimated to cost $577,000 from the General Fund the first year and $400,000 each year thereafter to administer a Utah uranium mills program.
