To put additional staff in the various highway patrol regions and add computer capability for statewide data will cost Public Safety approximately $479,000. Local law enforcement agencies will have similar costs for collecting and forwarding the data. Preliminary estimates are $35,400 for a small law enforcement agency. Total cost for all local law enforcement agenmcies could not be estimated at this time. Costs for Attorney General review of quarterly data and services to the Department are estimated at $29,700.
