State Impact:
It is estimated that the bill will cost the State $200,000 in Uniform School Funds for FY 2002 and $350,000 in ongoing Uniform School Funds for FY 2003 to be
appropriated to the Utah State Office of Education to develop and implement achievement testing of physical fitness and nutrition. Restrictions on food and beverages
provided in vending machines and lunch room areas can be implemented at no additional cost to the State.
