HB0388 - Wildland Fire Suppression Fund

State Impact:
Due to the unpredictability of fire seasons, it is impossible to predict what impact this bill would have on the Wildland Fire Suppression Fund. However, it is expected that an increase in the number of participating counties would strengthen the fund, thus decreasing the need for supplemental General Fund appropriations.
Individual and Business Impact:
This bill would waive the equity payment required of counties who did not participate in the fund at its inception, but which initiate participation in the fund during the window opened by the bill.
