SB0108 - Licensure of Motor Vehicles

State Impact:
Requiring a check for valid driver license in issuing a registration certificate, would require $46,500 for additional counter staff, assuming through put at the motor vehicle counter remains constant. The bill would also deter registration of vehicles by unlicensed drivers, thus reducing related revenue by $33,600 in FY 2002 and $37,000 in FY 2003.

Individual and Business Impact:
A few individuals would be deterred from licensing a vehicle.
