HB0086S01 - Increased Penalty for Second Conviction for Certain Sexual Offenses Against a Child
State Impact:
Enactment of this bill will require additional on-going appropriations of $38,800 from the General Fund to the Courts for the increased costs of capital felony cases for a 2nd conviction for certain sex offenses against a child. Penalty enhancements would not begin to impact the Department of Corrections until the year 2028.
