HB0069 - Insurance Coverage for Autism Spectrum Disorders

State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill could cost the state $4,400,000 from various funds to authorize the additional coverage to employees of the state. Additionally there is a cost to the Insurance Department of an estimated $21,900 from the Insurance Department Restricted Account for rule development. Insurance Department Restricted Account revenues and expenditures affect the annual transfer to the General Fund. There will also be a cost to public education of approximately $4,400,000 assuming the costs are covered by the state.

Local Governments (UCA 36-12-13(2)(c)):
Enactment of this bill could increase local government costs to authorize the additional coverage provided in the bill.

Direct Expenditures by Utah Residents and Businesses (UCA 36-12-13(2)(d)):
Utah businesses could experience increased insurance premium costs by providing the additional coverage required in the bill. There will be a corresponding benefit to individuals eligible under the new coverage benefits provided in the bill.
