State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill will cost the Attorney General approximately $222 per case for investigations and cost the Courts $207 to process each finding. Assuming that complaints are filed for 1 in every 100 illegal immigrant workers, Attorney General total costs will be $257,400 ongoing from the General Fund beginning in FY 2013. If 50% of these complaints are processed by the Courts, total costs will be $120,100 from the General Fund for a total ongoing cost of $377,500.
For each hour of hiring training required in this bill, the Attorney General will generate an estimated $50 per hour in costs and revenue beginning in FY 2013, however the total amount of training hours is unknown at this time.

Enactment of this bill likely will not result in direct, measurable costs for local governments.
Direct Expenditures by Utah Residents and Businesses (UCA 36-12-13(2)(d)):
To the extent that businesses' operating licenses are suspended as a result of this bill, they will pay reinstatement fees to have these licenses restored. Offending businesses will pay for hiring training at an estimated $50 per hour.
