Enactment of this bill appropriates $6,000,000 in one-time funding from the Education Fund to the State Board of Education to implement the Smart School Technology Program.

Local Governments (UCA 36-12-13(2)(c)):
Public schools may apply to the State Board of Education to receive grants to implement an integrated school technology plan as outlined in the bill. The Utah State Office of Education estimates that the average grant amount may be $567,700 and the average cost of an integrated technology platform is estimated at $584,800.
