State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill likely will not materially impact the state budget.

Local Governments (UCA 36-12-13(2)(c)):
Enacting this bill will increase filing fee revenue to local governments by $28,000 to $43,000 per general election depending on the number of candidates.

Direct Expenditures by Utah Residents and Businesses (UCA 36-12-13(2)(d)):
Candidates filing to run for a school board position during an election will pay an additional $25. Candidates filing to run for a federal, state, or local office during an election will pay an additional $50. Between 200 and 500 individuals run for federal and state office in a general election.
