Enactment of this bill accelerates public education spending in the Voted & Board Leeway programs by at least $8.5 million from the Education Fund. By shifting appropriations into earlier years, the bill forgoes the same amount of spending in later years.

Local Governments (UCA 36-12-13(2)(c)):
Presuming a constant state cost of $94.6 million, enactment of this bill accelerates by one year state revenue allocated to school districts by at least $8.5 million. Of the increase in state funding, 64% would go to the top four receiving districts, with the remaining 37 other school districts either receiving no funding increase or some portion of the remaining 36%.
