HB0092 - Factual Innocence Assistance Amendments

State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill could expand the number of factual innocence payment recipients to include spouses of those petitioners who are found factually innocent after their death. To date, factual innocence costs in Utah have ranged from $70,000 to $500,000 per case.

Local Governments (UCA 36-12-13(2)(c)):
Enactment of this bill likely will not result in direct, measurable costs for local governments.

Direct Expenditures by Utah Residents and Businesses (UCA 36-12-13(2)(d)):
Enactment of this bill likely will not result in direct, measurable expenditures by Utah residents or businesses.
