HB0116 - Sudden Cardiac Arrest Survival Act Amendments

State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill likely will not materially impact the state budget.

Local Governments (UCA 36-12-13(2)(c)):
For local governments with systems not already in place, these entities may see costs associated with webpage registration and programming. Additionally, to the extent an individual is required to spend time in jail for tampering with an AED, local governments may see costs of about $65 per day.

Direct Expenditures by Utah Residents and Businesses (UCA 36-12-13(2)(d)):
To the extent individuals are found guilty of tampering with an AED device, individuals may see fines of up $1,000 per occurance and/or up to 6 months in jail.
