State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
This bill costs the state approximately $29,800 ongoing General Fund and $70,200 federal funds beginning in FY 2014 to buy insurance to cover the costs of a data breach for the state�s health care providers within the Departments of Health and Human Services who have provider agreements with Medicaid and have received at least $50,000 in payment from Medicaid in the preceding 12 months.

Local Governments (UCA 36-12-13(2)(c)):
Local governments who are health care providers with provider agreements with Medicaid and have received at least $50,000 in payment from Medicaid in the preceding 12 months may have to buy insurance to cover the costs of a data breach.
Direct Expenditures by Utah Residents and Businesses (UCA 36-12-13(2)(d)):
All health care providers who have provider agreements with Medicaid and have received at least $50,000 in payment from Medicaid in the preceding 12 months may have to buy insurance to cover the costs of a data breach.
