HB0034 - Special Group License Plate Amendments
State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
License plate start-up costs of $8,600 will be met by private donations. One-time $10 license plate fees generate $5,000. Of that amount $2,000 will cover Tax Commission distribution costs and $3,000 will go to the Transportation Fund.
The Department of Heritage and Arts and the Division of Finance administrative costs of $200 one-time and $2,800 per year come from the General Fund. The $25 per plate donation generates $12,500 which will be distributed to qualifying organizations.

Direct Expenditures by Utah Residents and Businesses (UCA 36-12-13(2)(d)):
A minimum of 500 individuals may pay $10 in one-time license plate fees in addition to a minimum of $25 in annual contributions to the restricted account.
