State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill appropriates $15,000,000 ongoing General Fund to the Governor's Office of Economic Development for establishment of the STEM Action Center. The $15,000,000 ongoing appropriation is partially offset in FY 2014 by a $5,000,000 one-time General Fund reduction to the Governor's Office of Economic Development. The bill also appropriates $5,000,000 one-time General Fund in FY 2014 to the State Board of Education for grants to school districts and charter schools for STEM related career and technical education courses.
