Enactment of this bill likely will not materially impact the state budget.

Local Governments (UCA 36-12-13(2)(c)):
If local governments choose to enact this bill by procuring a six month audit, they would incur the cost of that additional audit. If local governments choose to enact this bill by procuring an 18 month audit, they may avoid or delay the cost of an audit. Previous audits have cost counties about $1.2 million per year for all counties in total.

Direct Expenditures by Utah Residents and Businesses (UCA 36-12-13(2)(d)):
Enactment of this bill likely will not result in direct, measurable expenditures by Utah residents or businesses.
