SB0116 - Garnishment for Debt Collection
State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill will reduce revenue to the General Fund by about $100,000 ongoing due to fewer garnishment filing fees collected by the Courts beginning in FY 2014. This bill will also reduce Court costs from the General Fund ongoing by $32,000 as a result of processing fewer garnishment filings. The Division of Finance will collect about $125,000 in debt payments to the Office of State Debt Collection Restricted Special Revenue Fund.
