HB0078 - Marriage Defense Fund
State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill creates a Marriage Defense Fund. Assuming 2,000 individuals contribute on average a $15 checkoff, revenue to the fund would be $30,000 annually. The Attorney General's Office is authorized to draw on the funds as necessary for litigation and appellate expenses related to the defense of Utah Constitution, Article I, Section 29 or any section of Utah Code, Title 30, Chapter 1, Marriage.
