HB0134 - Firearm Safety Amendments

State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill could cost the Department of Health up to $200,000 ongoing and $700,000 one-time from the General Fund in FY 2015 for gun safe coupons, firearm safety packets, and operating costs for the Firearm Safety Program. Enactment could cost the Department of Public Safety up to $20,000 ongoing and $200,000 one-time from dedicated credits in FY 2015 for the processing and mailing of gun safe coupons. Costs will vary based on the number of concealed firearm permit applications and applicant take-up rate for gun safe vouchers.
