State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
The number of new recovery residences to be licensed is currently unknown. Department of Human Services’ Licensing expects to charge $1,300 to license each recovery residence if there are about 35 recovery residences for a total revenue of $45,500. A renewal fee is expected to be $500.
Local Governments (UCA 36-12-13(2)(c)):
Enactment of this bill likely will not result in direct, measurable costs for local governments.
Direct Expenditures by Utah Residents and Businesses (UCA 36-12-13(2)(d)):
Enactment of this bill will result in direct, measurable expenditures by Utah residents or businesses who will own and operate recovery residences. If the number of new recovery residences were to be 35, the initial fee assessed to each recovery residence to cover the cost would be $1,300.
