HB0418S01 - Rights of Grandparents to Child Visitation
State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill will create additional workload and associated total ongoing costs of $22,700 from the General Fund for the following agencies beginning in FY 2015. The Attorney General reports that the costs of implementing the bill are already included in its current appropriation. Individual agency estimates are:
1. Courts - $12,000 - for judge/clerk time and jury expenses,
2. Attorney General - $7,800 - for attorney representation, and
3. Guardian ad Litem - $2,900 - for attorney representation.
This bill may also generate about $6,000 in ongoing General Fund revenue.

An estimated 30 parties will pay a $200 filing fee for a total of $6,000 annually.
