HJR007 - Joint Rules Resolution on Legislative Review Notes

State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this rule will substantially increase the time and resources necessary to prepare legislation for introduction. Additional staff time will be required to research, draft, and review with the sponsor, issues related to jurisdiction and sovereignty associated with each piece of legislation. Additional time will likely also be expended in consulting with other legislators regarding the content of legislative review notes, including researching federal legislation and case law. While this proposed rule will increase the time and resources necessary to draft and finalize legislation, the precise cost to implement is difficult to determine at this time.

Enactment of this bill likely will not result in direct, measurable costs for local governments.
