SB0030 - Uniform Driver License Act Amendments

State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill will cost the Department of Public Safety $4,000 one-time in FY 2015 from the Transportation Fund -- Department of Public Safety Restricted Account for programming expenses. It will reduce annual revenues to the account by $136,000 ongoing beginning FY 2016.

Direct Expenditures by Utah Residents and Businesses (UCA 36-12-13(2)(d)):
Enactment of this bill likely will not result in direct, measurable expenditures by Utah residents or businesses. The bill will end the practice of issuing a temporary CDL license to applicants who do not reside in the state of Utah after June 30, 2015. Revenue reduction is estimated to be $136,000 per year, beginning FY 2016 (Average of 3,400 applicants per year x $40.00 basic application fee.)
