State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill likely will not materially impact the state budget. However, if certain procedures in the bill are not followed, the bill requires voter signature verification, which could cost the state about $224,000 General Fund in even numbered years and about $26,000 General Fund one-time for computer equipment and software updates to administer a primary election.

Local Governments (UCA 36-12-13(2)(c)):
Enactment of this bill likely will not result in direct, measurable costs for local governments. However, if certain procedures in the bill are not followed, the bill requires voter signature verification, which could cost counties about $150,000 in even numbered years and about $17,000 one-time for computer equipment and software updates to administer a primary election.

Enactment of this bill likely will not result in direct, measurable expenditures by Utah residents or businesses.
