SB0064S01 - Air Quality Rules and Penalties

State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill could increase revenue to the state up to $300,000 per year based on a three-year trend of collections and penalties collected by the Division of Air Quality. This would be contigent on the number of violators and the severity of the violations.

Local Governments (UCA 36-12-13(2)(c)):
Enactment of this bill likely will not result in direct, measurable costs for local governments.

Direct Expenditures by Utah Residents and Businesses (UCA 36-12-13(2)(d)):
Individuals that violate rules set forth in the bill may be subject to increased penalties. The annual net impact is estimated at up to $300,000 per year.
