SB0099 - Natural Gas State Vehicle Requirements
State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Enactment of this bill will cost the Division of Fleet Operations (DFO) internal service fund $2,131,700 ongoing from the General Fund beginning FY 2015. This will allow DFO to replace 1,511 vehicles with Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles by July 1, 2018 and provide for future replacement of those vehicles thereafter. Assuming those vehicles will only be filled with CNG fuel by all customers, annual fuel savings (based on today's fuel prices) after the four-year phase-in will be approximately $1.4 million across all funding sources.
