SB0122S01 - Parental Rights in Public Education

State Government (UCA 36-12-13(2)(b)):
Bill provisions require an LEA to retain a student on grade level at the request of a parent or guardian. For each retained student that receives educational services in excess of thirteen years, the cost to the state may increase by the average student amount funded through the Minimum School Program. Currently, this average is approximately $3,800.

Local Governments (UCA 36-12-13(2)(c)):
Enactment of this bill likely will not result in direct, measurable costs for local governments.

Direct Expenditures by Utah Residents and Businesses (UCA 36-12-13(2)(d)):
Enactment of this bill likely will not result in direct, measurable expenditures by Utah residents or businesses.
